Did you know?
HEATING USING IN-FLOOR RADIANT
In-Floor Radiant heating systems are made using flexible tubes cast into a floor slab. These tubes, often referred to as PEX tubing, carry hot water and gently warm the slab to a preselected temperature. Once the slab is warm, objects like the flooring, furniture and people are gently warmed. Every item and person in the space is at the same conformable temperature, all without the drying effect on skin and furniture
of forced air.
Slabs retain the heat as a thermal mass and use approximately 40% less energy than forced air, a tremendous savings in dollars and
carbon footprint. In addition, these installations are totally silent, dust and mold free creating excellent indoor air quality with unsurpassed comfort.
The PEX tubing is connected to manifolds that distribute fluid to various rooms (zones) allowing for unsurpassed climate and energy control. Individual thermostats can then be set to temperatures according to the occupants requirements.
